Does any one have any recommendations on low cost i.e Below $30 DACs from Amazon that are worth the money? I see a pretty large range if them available.

No DAC is worth buying at $30. I think the DAC in your $35k receiver would be all you need.

I bought a Fiio D3 for $27 last year and it sounds decent for what it is. I bought it fr TV and used it in my daughters budget stereo system and it sounded at least as good if not better than the DAC in her Yamaha HTR AVR.

Amazon.com: FiiO D3 Digital to Analog Audio Converter - 192kHz/24bit Optical and Coaxial DAC: Musical Instruments (http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-Digital-Analog-Audio-Converter/dp/B005PWPUW6)

These DAC's from hifimediy.com are supposed to have pretty good sound and are sabre based-

Ready made (http://hifimediy.com/DACs/ready-made-dacs)

That doesn't put a good light on the Yamaha receiver.

I've been using a Behringer UCA222 with a laptop and a Bravo V2 for a portable laptop based system. Does it sound as good as my MSB or Emotiva XDA-2? Well, no. However, it sounds better than the onboard chips in any of my laptops (3).

In addition it functions as an ADC so I use it for ripping LP's. It has a maximum bit/sample rate of 16/48. That may be problem for some.
