I just bought a pair of these 30" Sanus speaker stands that are on sale at bestbuy.com The appear to be well made and sturdy enough on my wood floor. They are not tippy and hold my Monitor Audio S1's firmly (the top plate is 6x6"). The S1's are 7" wide and 9.5" deep. I am using the rubber pads under the speaker instead of the metal spikes. The pads are sticky and hold the speakers in place. The only down side is that they are light weight and you cannot add any weight to them. From a finish stand point, they look good and the cherry finish goes with my wood floor. They also have a decent way of hiding the speaker wire.

Nice raven. Took me forever to decide on stands. Many options out there but finally choosing one with the right form and function can be an undertaking. Have any pics of the speakers on them?

They look like the stands that I have my Usher S-520's sitting on.

I have the same ones under my HT Rears in the living room. Mine are on carpet and sturdy enough. They have a set of Polk Monitors on them now but were purchased for the Dynaudio 42s. The nice pc that hides the wires is nice also.

those stands look fine but could be easily knocked over so if you have little kids or a dog i would only use them for rear channel use. my cat used to jump to the top of my small speakers on stands and knocked the speakers off. the stands are steel so didnt fall over. just a couple of cautions.

For the first time I bought the matching stands for my new speakers. The center column is mass loaded and bolts to the speaker enclosure. I like not having to worry about speakers being knocked off the stands.
