Any opinions on which is the better buy?

Seriously, you want to spend $169 for 3 feet of HDMI cable?

I am sorry to be blunt, but that is a complete waste of money. Take a look at the HDMI cables here- HDMI Cable from Blue Jeans Cable (http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/hdmi-cables/hdmi-cable.htm) These are high end HDMI cables as are their RCA interconnects and speaker wire.

They are well made with heavy gauge wires. I run the series FE and Series 1 in runs of 15' with no problems. If you have any questions about the cables, read the facts sheet- Is This HDMI Cable a 1.4 Compliant Cable? -- Blue Jeans Cable (http://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/hdmi-1-4-cable.htm?hdmidept)

or give them a call. The Series FE is high speed ethernet rated, the series 1 is not but it is going to be replaced by a Series 1E that will be Ethernet rated.

Thanks for the information. I had never heard of Blue Jeans Cable. Would I spend $165 for a cable? If I saw the difference in quality..yes. Some places allow you to try before you buy so long as you give a small deposit. I respect your opinion, however.

I can't hear or see any difference between any of the HDMI cables at any price. I have had several 50 foot HDMI cables that worked well except in one case where one would work on one TV, but not the other.

The last 6 foot cables I bought cost $5 and they work perfectly. It's your choice.
