Hi folks,
Apologies in advance if I am posting this in the wrong place.
I was planning to invest a sizable sum to buy some gear from china-hifi-audio.com. Wondering if the site is legit or a scam. That is, are purchases at the site respected and do goods paid for really arrive? Has anyone ordered anything from here and had it delivered safely to their home?

Its always a risk dealing with chinese companies. If something needs to be returned it is an extreme hassel and usually very costly.

Thanks Raven,
I am prepared to take a risk quality-wise. What I specifically wanted to know was whether the said site would even send me my stuff once ive paid for it.

I've read where people have order stuff from that site. A few said it takes a long time to arrive depending how you have it shipped.

I can't help you there. I would email them and see if they respond quickly which is usually a good sign. Check other forums as well. I have ordered from a couple of chinese companies (Grant Fidelity, check out their site as they may have some of the gear you are looking for and they are reputable, they have a store in Canada and you can talk to them by phone. And Maverick Audio which is not as reputable) and have had no problems with either.

Check out Quest for Sound. They sell JAS and Raysonic, both very nice gear.

Thanks a lot blackraven and others for your replys

The admin for china-hifi-audio seemed to be quite responsive and pretty good at his written english which seemed like a good sign.
Frenchmon, thats very important info that people have been satisfied with this company. Its very encouraging. It would now be very good to talk to someone who has dealt with this company first hand so we have some more confidence about this supplier.

Anyway, thanks again you guys. This is very helpful.

If you're interested in Yaqin, then there is a U.S. distributor near Chicago. His name is Ray and very good to deal with. Here are his Audiogon listings: Search New Today | AudiogoN - The High-end Audio Community (http://app.audiogon.com/listings?member_name=oc123)
