Even if you are not a country music fan, I think we all agree that his song "He Stopped Loving Her Today" is one of greatest country song ever written:

RIP, Possom
He stopped loving her today
and breathing
He sure could rouse the rabble in his prime; falling down drunk on stage (or not showing up at all), coke binges, wife beating and general misconduct (being busted once for DUI on a John Deer tractor) - ****, the dude was as rock-n-roll as country got! Piss on Bosephus, I wanna be George Jones in my next life!
I will admit though, of all the geezerly gents on still kickin about the country circuit, the dude was in fine voice right up until about a year ago. Choices is a song that only Jones could do convincingly.
