A jazz-funk fusion revival supergroup, Rock Candy Funk Party (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/rock-candy-funk-party-mn0003043420) grew out of an instrumental album recorded by drummer and producer Tal Bergman (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/tal-bergman-mn0000134446) and guitarist Ron DeJesus (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/ron-dejesus-mn0002151791) in 2007 called Grooove, Vol. 1 (http://www.allmusic.com/album/grooove-vol-1-mw0001226832). The pair played several subsequent live dates at the Baked Potato jazz club in Los Angeles, and encouraged other musicians to sit in, and gradually Rock Candy Funk Party (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/rock-candy-funk-party-mn0003043420) came together from these live sessions, finally settling on a lineup of Bergman (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/bergman-mn0000134446), DeJesus (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/dejesus-mn0002151791), bassist Mike Merritt (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/mike-merritt-mn0000140457), keyboardist Renato Neto (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/renato-neto-mn0000887731), and, in 2012, guitarist Joe Bonamassa (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/joe-bonamassa-mn0000118243). The band released a debut album under the Rock Candy Funk Party (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/rock-candy-funk-party-mn0003043420) moniker, We Want Groove (http://www.allmusic.com/album/we-want-groove-mw0002471145), in 2013 through Bonamassa (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/bonamassa-mn0000118243)'s label, J&R Adventures (Provogue Productions released it in Europe).

That's different for Joe. Did you get a chance to listen to any of the Beth Hart - Bonamassa disk yet?

What the fluck? I responded to this a couple of hours ago. Man, this site and MTBR are really going into the ishtter.

Anyhoo, I wasn't really all that enamoured with the Bonamassa/Hart colab, but I am enjoying the Beth Hart "solo" you sent. Go figure. I've got an article on her that I've been meaning to send. Someday. Soon.
