I've started a web-application that uses similarities between users' songs (the ones they like) to give a recommendation of songs they would probably also like.

You can find it here: http://musicmatch.prijsindex.net/

Give it a try, you might like it.

One thing: only 49 users as of yet, and the system gets better as more people join, so it can use all the help it can get, but eventually your input will pay itself back greatly (if you tell enough friends about it :) ).

I checked out the site but can't figure out how to add songs...I'd like to contribute but I didn't see any clear instructions on how to use the site.

Steps:

1. Register
2. Go to Song Dictionary (where all known artists and songs can be found)
3. Add song from the artist pages in the Song Dictionary

If an artist and/or song doesn't exist in the dictionary yet, it can simply be added.

I'll add these instructions (and more) to the page shortly.
