That's what the Yung SD300 plate amps sell for at PE. I finished their wood cases this weekend and fired them up for the first time. They extracted some nice tight detailed bass from the garage OB system. These class D's are small compared to other 300 watt plate amps and run cool. They'll be coming inside soon to replace the H-frame Daytons.

Here are the Yungs driving the OB bottom Alphas with a Tripath driving the full range Betsy's and pod tweeters through an Aric preamp. CDP is an old Rotel.

So the only tubes are the preamp??

As for those inexpensive class D's, I doubt that any similarly priced AB s/s amps can touch them.

Class D just sounds cleaner.
