Listening to Yessongs today, 40 years after the tracks were recorded on tour in 1972. I haven't spun this first live Yes album in ages. It was one of my all-time favorites on three vinyl disks with that amazing Roger Dean cover, and I'm loving it all over again. Crank it up 'cause it rocks. Gotta love the chops of these guys in top form on their way up to stardom when they believed anything was possible.
There's a couple of songs with Bruford on the kit (Perpetual Change, Long Distance Runaround/The Fish), the rest with White. Nobody is making music like this anymore. What an iconoclastic band they were back in the days! Gotta love those Wakeman analog synths!
Cha-cha-cha cha-cha.
