My DIY speaker stands are 32" high. With my MA B2's in place, this puts the tweeter at 44". At my listening position, my ears are 39" from the floor. I bring you all this wonderfully fascinating information for the following reason: I have noticed that when I stand in front of the listening couch, the sound just seems fuller, richer. As I sit down, the sound gets leaner. I have tried to GRADUALLY sit down (with tape measure in hand) to figure out the exact height for the optimal sound, but these old knees aren't built for that anymore. I'm considering reducing the height of the stands to 24", which would put the tweeter height at 36".

My question is this: does 24" sound like the optimum stand height for this application, or are there other factors to consider?

Any and all points of view would be appreciated.

Yes I think 24 inch height would be better. If while standing the speaker sounded fuller and thin while seated the speaker is too high. My speakers have an angled front baffle so I have them on 22 inch stands but would use 24 inch if the front baffle was flat.

Agreed. Unless the speakers are really small satellites, 32 inches sounds too high to me.
