The ‘A’ List (http://www.audiophilia.com/wp/?page_id=49)
I am looking to begin adding/building a collection of
orchestral music, especially chamber music, so my search
for guidance led me to this site. You guys probably already
know about this site but it's new to me.

Thanks, looks like mostly very sound recommendations though I don't have many of the suggested recordings. I hadn't seen the site before.
If you are looking for chamber music recommendations have a look at my own selection; the suggested recordings are in my collection are very good if not necessarily the best available in every case -- HERE (http://clients.teksavvy.com/~wdbailey/GreatChamber.pdf).

Bach, J.S. * Brandenburg Concerto No. 2
Bach, J.S. * Violin Concerto in E Major
Bedrich Smetana * Má Vlast
Beethoven * Piano Concerto No. 4
Beethoven * Symphony No. 3
Beethoven * Symphony No. 9
Brahms * Symphony No. 4
Brahms * Violin Concerto
Copland * Appalachian Spring
Debussy * La Mer
Dvorák * Concerto for ’Cello
Dvorák * Symphony No. 8
Haydn * Symphony No. 104
Holst * The Planets

Mendelssohn * ”Italian” Symphony
Mozart * Piano Concerto No. 24 in C Minor
Mozart * Symphony in C Major, “Jupiter”
Rachmaninoff * Symphony No. 2
Richard Strauss * Thus Spoke Zarathustra
Rimsky-Korsakov * Scheherazade
Schubert * Symphony No. 9

If you're looking for sound recommendations for specific recordings, check out ArkivMusic.com; drill down to a specific composition and they often provide a specific recommendation. I have found these quite reliable.

Thanks for the link.
I was going to suggest looking through Feanor's profile but I see he's already tooted his own French Horn:ciappa:...actually Bill's got a lot of great suggestions too so I suggest you spend some time exploring both lists.
Have fun.

Thanks LeRoy, love the link and liked that I had a number of the recordings. I wonder if we should create a sticky for these good links on recordings. Would anyone else like a sticky thread for musical links?
