Would this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-volt-DC-4-linear-power-supply-CNC-applications-/330268000723?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ce581c1d3#ht_500wt_908) work as a good power supply for my Beresford Dac?
I have read that a 12v linear power supply is much better than a wallwart.

It wasn't until I replied that I actually saw your reference. :)
I've certainly been happy with a Welborne Labs linear supply to replace the wal-wart with my Squeezebox Touch. The noise level has been reduced, the sound is more dynamic and low level resolution has improved.
That model is a step in the right direction, but could use some beefing up along with bypassing the electrolytics with a film resistor. It's hard to complain about the price, though!
