I've been trying to find an AC power cable for my Rotel RCD-1072 CD player. It's a two prong configuration but all the two prongs that I have seen have the two circular plug configuration. You can check it out on the Rotel website in the archives section. I stopped by my HiFi shop on Saturday and looked at the Audioquest NRG-1.5, but the plug isn't right. The NRG-2 has the right plug shape, but it's a three prong plug. Thanks guys.

Seems pretty straight forward. Is that what you did?

On an unrelated subject, I'm going to my nephews volleyball game tomorrow at Neshaminy High School and we were going up early and stop at Positively Records in Levittown. Have you been there and if so, any suggestions? Thanks, Jack

I have not done anything yet with after market power cords but found all that in a link from someone here or another board. Looks like it would be as good as any pricey purchased cord.

I have never been to Positively Records, since I don't have a TT I have not been in any record stores and purchase all my CDs on line.

I do think there is a guy named Mike there if they also sell used equipment who tried to lowball me when I was trying to sell my Clearfields, but was a decent guy.

That's right, I forgot you don't have a TT. I thought about stopping into Quest for Sound also and I was afraid who wouldn't get out of there as cheaply as the record store.

Yeah, I need to take my Hafler pre-tuner down to Steve to see if he can figure out why I have the odd ground loop as soon as I plug any source into it. Just don't have a Saturday to get down there.

Have fun.

A power cord with 3-pin IEC connector like the Audioquest NRG-2 will work just fine, just that the ground will not be used. I've used 3-pin IEC plugs in 2-pin IEC inlets without any issues. I've also installed 3-pin IEC inlets on two-wire equipment mods and just left the ground unconnected, again with no issues.

Thanks, Glen. I'm going to cancel the NRG-1.5 and get the 2
