...Just thought you would be interested in this guys ideas JM if you have not seen it...nothing much, but it does talk about your cart. I'm always interested in fresh conversations about my gear, thought you might be as well.

Thanks for the link. I have the Sonata as Grado suggests with the front of the cartridge 90 degrees to the record. This at the lowest point for the Rega arm. I am not using spacers and the arm cannot be lowered to try the tail down idea. I had used the 2MM spacer with the Red and did not remove it when I first installed the Sonata.

I listened to the Sonata and began to wonder if it could not sound better. It was then I removed the spacer and the upper frequencies opened up. I would like to hear a little tail down but unless I recess the plinth I cannot go any lower.
