So many companies don't give a damn about customer service that I have to share this positive experience.
I had a bit of an issue at a Starbucks last night. It had to do with a promotion that they are running and their website having different information about the promotion than the in-store signage. I called their Customer Service dept this morning and after explaining the situation, the CSR credited my Starbucks card with $5.00.
You know, $5.00 isn't a lot of money. But it's enough to let me know that they were sorry for my negative experience and that they wanted to make it up to me. I hung up the phone feeling good about the company and continuing to do business with them. And with their high profit margins on coffee, they'll now easily make back that $5.00.
I wish that more companies would realized that providing good customer experiences will gain them far more than it will cost them.
