I just saw this movie last night and it was awesome. The best movie that I have seen in a few years. It will be up for best picture and best actress!

Did you see the original? If so... what do you think in comparison. If not... rent it and tell us what you think?

I haven't seen the original but reviewers here have said that the new movie is better than the original film and the book. I would love to see the original movie but the freaking blockbuster store just closed this week. I guess I am going to have to get with the program and do Net Flicks. It's really too bad. I liked going to the video store on the spur of the moment and browse and pick up a movie. I guess that is the price of progress. Too bad I see it as a step in the wrong direction. I feel the same way about MP3, computer music and downloads. I am getting off the subject here a bit but I had some email correspondence with Cookie Marenco the famous audio engineer and producer at Blue Coast Records and we were both lamenting about MP3 and how high fidelity is going by the way side and how a who generation is missing out on great recordings and music.

By the way, I recently saw Hugo and Sherlock Holmes. Both were very entertaining movies. I am going to see MIA and War Horse this week. My kids are on winter break from college and we always go to see a few movies during this time. There is a great theater in town with $4.00 matinee's and and cheap food and drink. So it does not end up being a $60 adventure to go to a movie.

I saw the original Tattoo trilogy and have not been able to get motivated to see the new version. I also recently saw the latest Sherlock Holmes movie and I also was entertained by that one even though I never saw the first S.H. with Downey.

$4.00 movies? Can't go wrong with that price. Enjoy the shows.
