I'm looking at buying TWO of these

PylePro - PADH212 - 1600W Heavy Duty 7 Way Pa Loud-speaker Cabinet (http://pyleaudio.com/sku/PADH212/-1600W-Heavy-Duty-7-Way-Pa-Loud-speaker-Cabinet)

the amp i was looking at is this

PylePro - PDG2000 - 2000 Watt Blue Rock Professional Stereo Power Amplifier (http://pyleaudio.com/sku/PDG2000/2000-Watt-Blue-Rock-Professional-Stereo-Power-Amplifier)

i just need to know what i need to power those, im using it for djing and playing music. the setup i have now is a wal-mart stereo combo **** so im clueless.

You do know what "peak power" means, don't you?

If not, you might want to google it.

IMO you can do better with products from a different manufacturer. I can't really comment on the speakers. I've never heard any DJ speakers I thought were listenable.

That Pyle power amp, well it really is a "pile". The wattage rating is for peak not continuous power. You can rate an amp at any peak power you want especially if there is no time listed for it delivering that peak power.
Any decent manufacturer will list an amplifiers continuous power rating at 8 and 4 Ohms. I would guess that "pile" actually produces ~200WPC@8 Ohns. Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from a manufacturer that doesn't practice honesty in it's power ratings.

Check out B&H Photo or one of the musical instrument retailers that have a web presence. See examples below.

I mentioned B&H and listed them first because I've had very good experiences ordering from them and they have free shipping. The last order I placed with them was done over the internet before noon on a Monday. I received my order the next day. Usually when I order with them on Monday I get a UPS delivery on Wednesday.

IMO, those speakers are okay for starters, but I would go with an amp from another manufacturer like Crown, QSC or Peavey.

QSC GX3 Power Amplifier 300 Watts/ch at 8 ohms (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=245-650)
