Dayton now made a 15" version of the Titanic and it specs very nicely. I ran it through my subwoofer program and it performs awesome with partsexpress's 1000 watt sub amp with parametric equalizer.

In a 3 cubicft sealed box with 1000 watts here's what the prgram drew.

20hz-107
30hz-113
40hz-116
50hz-117
60hz-118
70hz-118

while never exceeding Xmax. Buy this, the 1000 watt amp, and make a box and you have one hell of a subwoofer for under a grand.

Just thought I'd bring it to al you're attention.

How much better is this sub compared to the Dayton DVC 15? I'm thinking about using this driver in a 3 c.f. sealed enclosure using the PE 250 watt plate amp. Think it'll sound good?

with only 250 watts. Your money would be wasted if you bought this over the tempest of dvc. In a 3 cubic foot box you would need over a kiliowatt of power to use this driver to it's full potential. Here's a guy that used a 2.5 cubic foot sealed cabinet for his dvc and it looks like he likes it.

Also here's some ideas for the tempest.

Hope this helps.

The Titanics are great subs, especially for the money. I did an install with one in my friends basement using the 12" in a 2 cf sealed box running off an old 400 watt rotel amp and it sounds great, it compliments the Yamaha NS-1000's very well
