Auvio is the faux upscale line Radioshack has been selling.
While in there looking for an antenna, I found several gems on the bargain table.
One I COULDN'T resist, an HDradio tuner for 29 bucks. Well, the
price was right.
I HOOKED it up to the reciever with a coax cable, used the flat antenna that
came with it. THE only HD radio station was public, which has two
simulcast, and the sound was amazing. But RD and a few other features alone make it worthwhile at 29 bucks.
AND THE SOUND! Amazing sound quality. A local jazz station
with a lot of hiss is now clear as a bell. EASY to program, and
of course the AM is worthless.
But if you have the typical receiver with a difficult to use, tuner on
a chip, you can't beat this one for 29 bucks.
HAD a lot of other toys, a decent universal remote for five bucks,
etc. DIDN'T SEE smokes tv.:1:
