...Walk Like an Egyptian. Or would that be favorite song with a girl whistling in it?

Probably Otis Redding's 'Dock of the Bay', closely followed by John Lennon's 'Jealous Guy'.

This question caught me a bit off guard, I couldn't think of many songs with whistling. Scorpions and Redding are good choices. I know there's a Rammstein song I like with a bit of whistling but I'm not sure the name. The theme to Andy Griffith is one I think every one tries.

I thought you were gonna say the theme from The Longest Day.

And you don't deserve to adorn yourself with a King Crimson avatar!

David Bowie's Golden Years. I can't remember every hearing it and not trying to whistle along. Great song. Does it matter if the whistling only comes at the end?

If you didn't know, I used to like them. Saw them live about 16 years ago and think my hearing is still damaged from that show.

No votes for Hocus Pocus by Focus?

Geez, I've found myself whistling along with songs with whistling many times, but can't recall specifics except for Wilco's "Red-Eyed and Blue".

I'm down with Hocus Pocus, :) I had to sing a bit of it in my head to remember the whistling part but you are right.

I'm sure there's hundreds but I'm blanking big time. Andrew Bird may be the best whistler ever, as least as far as music I like goes. One that jumps out is Peter Gabriel, Games Without Frontiers. Love that song!

They Might Be Giants - Whistling in the Dark from the classic album Flood may be the best song about whistling without any actual whistling.

Bing Crosby, White Christmas has to be up there with Dock of the Bay for the best whistling in a song though. So that's it, Bing Crosby is my winner.

I was too busy staring at Susannah Hoffs and when I was done with that I realized I would have been fine with ALL of them.....

First one that came to my mind was "Easy does it" by Supertramp

I would say Me and Julio by Paul Simon, Patience by Guns N Roses and probably my favorite is The Stranger by Billy Joel.

I just opened this thread for the first time and I can't believe it got this far without a mention of Brother Bones' version of "Sweet Georgia Brown" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDPVSCJX1No).

I'm going to have a hard time thinking of a better one than that. The Lennon song Swish mentioned is a good one.

Not my all-time favorite but this song also jumped to mind:

Ah Poppa, good additions. It's funny how some of these songs are so familiar but the whistling just didn't come to mind.
