Yes, but even with the shipping is a lot less than $ 2000.00. It weights around 50 pounds.
I am thinking to run a 220 V line to a point in my house and get it or to convert it to 120 V.

You do not have the manufacturers warranty. You will have to supply the correct voltage to the electronics. If it will not work properly due to voltage differences it is no bargain to me.

This unit is 220 V and must work with it at least you convert it to 120 V.
The question is why we have to pay $2000 for the same unit with a different name and 120 V.

The unit would have the proper transformer. It would have a warranty from the distributor who would probably have parts in stock if something was wrong. I always try to buy something through normal distribution channels and not the grey market. I certainly shop for price but I like a warranty longer than the 90 days offered by NY Sound. If the unit is for an area of the world that uses 220 V is the plug for US outlets.

Yes, the problem is I don't have too much money to spend and I want to get something that sound good. I have a friend that own a Vincent hybrid integrated and the sound is awesome. This unit is the same Vincent unit with another name. I may use it with an external converter 120 V to 220 V if the power consumption allows it or run a dedicated 220 V line for it.

The question you should ask is whether they will refund your shipping, if you have an issue with the unit...

I don't live in the US and hence have paid hefty amounts for shipping gear over here... Both a DAC and Amp I bought, that were very good deals, don't work properly anymore (one never did)... Even though the manufacturer has a 5 year warranty and fairly good customer support, I'd still have to pay shipping both to and from the US for both items to get them fixed... So frankly I'm far more likely to buy new gear from somewhere else than get either of them fixed...

So just keep in mind that if you pay the $255 shipping from NYSounds and have to return the unit to get it fixed or replaced, that might end up costing you an additional $510.
