So I was going to visit one of my friends and I am driving to his house. It was a garbage day in his neighborhood. I spotted a single speaker with white woofer and I am like I must stop. Well, I found a single JBL L100 on the garbage. Everything is working on it, just the tweeter cap is pushed in! No front cover and the cabinet is in ok condition. The bad thing it is only one.

It was kind of weird because I have a new BMW and picking up a speaker from the garbage but whatever. So the guy came out right away from the house and told me that he doesn't know if it works or not. I asked if he had the other one but he said he used it for a mono tube amp so he had only one. I asked for the tube amp but he said he will keep it.

So that is the story for today!

Looks to be in excellent shape. You can part it out for sure, but a mono system would sound great through it.

The top was wet so I am waiting to dry! I still don't know what I will do with it. I will open it and give it a very good cleaning! It sounds very warm with the 2250B, I will try it with the 9090DB and with the Dynaco SCA-35 to see which one will sound the best!

I don't use surround.

I just pulled out the tweeter cap and cleaned the speaker from inside and outside. Damn it has big magnets especially on the midrange!

you could start with it?

find 2 more and you already have the fronts complete :D

I don't know how they would perform mono, they are from the stereo era, but you could always try :D

Well you are half way there to owning a pair of speakers that many consider the ultimate speaker for the "West Coast sound". That thing looks awfully wet. Hopefully it will not warp or split when it dries out.

I cleaned it very very good. I replaced the foam ring for the tweeter. I use it with the Harman Kardon 330C. One channel is the JBL and one is the 2 Realistic Minimus7.

I am looking to find another pair but there are 0 on the craigslist. It will be hard but I will keep it ( you never know, maybe I will find another one or get a mono tube amp )
