I'm on the Mcintosh thread in Audiokarma right now. Can browse and post without issue.
EDIT: looks like the site was down earlier today.

I know some websites/forums that if another forum was mentioned not only would the post be deleted but the poster would receive an involuntary vacation as well. Nice to know we're above such stupidity!!!

I know there are members here that on AK as well as Audiogon and a few other sites.
It is kind of silly to think of each site as an exclusive club. It should always be about the hobby and the more voices the better. Each site has its strengths and weaknesses.
Vive la Difference so to speak.......... :smile5:

Yes i am a member of audiokarma as well. But if you look at the join dates between the two, you will see that i joined here first.
People over there are more into what i am into in this audio adventure.
My equipment spans from the high end to the mid fi. Hi end being a pair of 12 inch monitor golds, albeit in Mallorcan cabs.
On ocassion i do post a thread here. Some met with crickets chirping. But some do get replys. I do like coming here to read the news and rumors as well as the video and hometheater stuff.

Sort of - i just edited the link though - no real reason to help increase their SEO w/o something in return.

The drawback at AK is that 95% of the discussion is about something besides current gear and music. I like a little vintage gear here and there, but I find current technology more interesting. They have a section called Modern Day Hi Fi and currently there are 3 viewing. In Vintage Solid State they currently have 96 viewing.

Yeah older gear is where my wallet is. Which is already light to begin with. 2 boys turning into teens are pretty hungry little buggers.
For an example of what we have . A look in the flickr sig line will give you an idea.
If i could afford some current gear i would certainly jump on it.

There are times when audioreview gets a recommendation by members there, when another member is asking about a particular product. I certainly like to read the consumer reviews.:14:

I use AR for the manufacturer specific threads. I have found the site particularly useful in getting repair/DIY advice from users with the same brand of gear. That's about it tho.
