Tron gets my vote, but I may wait until it comes out on BD.

I liked the original Tron when it came out but down the road when it was released on DVD it sure didn't have the same effect. Previews of the new movie look good though.

I'll probably watch True Grit as a rental out of curiosity but that remake is next to sacraledge. How can you improve on Pam Dawber's performance and who dare's attempt to fill the Duke's shoes? I can't even imagine some one pulling off putting the horses reins in their mouth yelling you SOB's blazing away like the Duke. Great movie....

I am big fan of Duke, but never warmed up to the original True Grit film with John Wayne. May be it was Pam Dawber or Glen Campbell perfomance, but found it boring especially when compared with Duke's other great westerns. So lets how this new version will hold up.

Jim Carrey's new film I Love You Phillip Morris sound interesting though. His charactor is gay in that movie, so he will probably do his usuall over the top slap stick comedy routine.

although I'd never put my money on a John Wayne redux, a western at that, I guess True Grit is one of the weakest Wayne westerns, so it may as well be this one. If I had to bet which Wayne western would get the remake treatment, I woulda guessed The Cowboys (I woulda hated it however). But given who's involved, I must say I'm intrigued.

I can't believe someone hasn't trotted out a Tron re-make or sequel before now; talk about merchandising, video gaming and amusement ride bonanza, all rolled into one. Prolly gonna be worth risking a splitting headache to see it in 3D.

I ran out of patience for the Fokkers about halfway through the second one... pass.

Yes, I agree. Cowboys is also one of weakest Wayne's westerns along with Rio Lobo and North To Alaska. Don't mind if they remake these films, but hollywood better not touch some of Wayne's better westerns such as Rio Bravo or The War Wagon.

The new Fockers movie have Owen Wilson in it too, so I pass also.

I always figured The Cowboys (a film I love, btw) would get re-made, just because of the oportunity for the all-boy cast. They'd prolly have the obligatory tomboy girl casting. Prolly try to figure out a way to cast Will Smith...

As for Rio Lobo, dint that get remade like 3 times, all with Wayne?

I'll watch The Way Back for Collin Farrel along with Saoirse Ronan who played a great part in The Lovely Bones.

True Grit (2010) -- I loved it. Can say I was ever much impressed with the John Wayne original, but this one has great, (and I suppose more realistic), wild west flavor, gritty humor, and great acting by Bridges and the rest of the cast ...
