What is a triangular stylus? On Vinyl Engine I saw that description, but it did not clarify it.
Is it similar to a micro-line stylus or just a highly polished eliptical?
Pros and Cons?

Sounds like one of the micro-line shapes, like maybe Shibata. Which stylus was described that way?

It was the Nagaoka MP-30.

That one is indeed unusual. I've seen it called elliptical in specs where it's listed for sale, but it flares out on the sides, Most styli look about like a dagger but the Nagaoka reminds me more of a thorn.
