Might want to run B&W 684 in a den as Audio, would rout from a HT Receiver or HT Int amp. Any ideas for less than $1K on the electronics.

Are you asking about a HT receiver? If so, an Onkyo under $1k will have the current to run most speakers within reason, and if it can't, you need separates because i doubt if any other receiver would. I haven't priced it, the Yamaha 2065 impressed me with a recent trip to a "big box" store, sounding in my opinion better than a comparable Onkyo or Pioneer Elite. With an emphasis on sound I'd urge you to listen to NAD, Cambridge Audio or Rotel which typically excel in sound quality over most mass market brands. Of course, quality comes at a premium.
