They're labeled a post-punk band who got signed by Loveless Records in Seattle and have met with some critical acclaim, although I don't put much faith in Rolling Stone.

Anyway, they're the opener for SPOON this Saturday night, so I'll be seeing both. We have seats in the 5th row center, so I'm sure my good friend Britt Daniel will acknowledge my presence.

Next Friday it's PAVEMENT with opening act Kurt Vile. Yes, I said PAVEMENT! I'll be shocked if Slosh tells me he's not going to this show at the Mann.

I'm sure my good friend Britt Daniel will acknowledge my presence by exercising the court order and moving me back past the required 50 foot distance.

Really Swishy, you should have just bought tickets further back and saved yourself the embarassment. :nonod:

..he invites me up on stage to play a couple songs with them. I also take a glove along to baseball games just in case the left fielder goes down with an injury and they need a reliable glove and arm out there. Yeah, just in case.

...after the arctic explorer Ernest Shackleton. Okay, it's not very interesting.

I bought their CD when I got the last Voyager One release from Loveless about 2.5 years ago. The label was really high on them, should've listened before I bought. Probably only listened once since I got it. Maybe I should, but didn't seem very interesting so not likely. Might kill live, never know. Kinda garagey, if I remember. The Voyager One didn't rub my voodoo either, but I do really like what they do when I like what they do.

Been hearing reports of Pavement leaving fans pretty happy. Should be memorable.
