those are some expensive rocks in a bottle...
Wonder how it does it...could just be an extra weight...

weight would be my guess..if it does anything at all it likely just damps some vibration...but for that price??...i know lots of places to get some pretty rocks and a jar to hold them..

Well, there is no mechanism that would apply in audio. The jar is sealed with a rubber seal but that is irrelevant too. But it is a nice decorative touch to the room.
Other than that, it is just another audio ripoff, not even a snake oil claim as applied to wires as the wires still work fine. This, it does nothing but decorates.

It never ceases to amaze me that people will buy into these ludicrous scams in the (misguided) belief that there is something to be gained. Ah, the power of suggestion ... it can work wonders.

I sincerely hope that you're NOT considering the purchase of some of these things are you Bill? If you are, you have my utmost sympathy - for you will have joined the ranks of the terminally gullible!

Gee, I have acquired several already since posting this and what a difference they make! All the bad sound that makes it through the glass is severely attenuated - just like a bad sound sponge. And what bounces off the glass is dispersed echo because of the round shape. A super deal! (OK Woodman, since you can't tell, that was all tongue-in-cheek.)

Whew!!! What a relief!!!

Seriously Bill ... such things as these Brilliant Pebbles are just simply too far-fetched for words. They rely on the extreme gullibility of audiophiles who are ready, willing, and able to believe in (and BUY) anything that promises to bring them a step closer to the sonic nirvana that they so desparately want to pursue - no matter how tiny and insignificant that step might be. For anyone that's at all educated in the fields of audiometry, electronics, physics, etc., such products only elicit gales of laughter - plus an occasional tear or two that someone will be taken in, thereby flushing their hard-earned down the ol' crapper! Sad, but oh so true!

Yeah, I couldn't not post that link once I found it. It's right up there with the Mpingo discs, those poker-chip-on-a-stick wall ornaments.
