I ran across a web cite called the "hifi amp store.com" which posted mcintosh gear such as the mc402 for $800 and the vintage 275 tube amps pair for $1800 these prices are unbelieveable and I tried to send them an email about the mc402 and they did not respond and the phone number listed in the add is not a working number!
Be ware of this site and check them out before sending them any money.

The warning seems a bit premature. All you've told us is they have unbelievable prices, didn't answer your email and the phone didn't work. This could be for any number of legitimate reasons. Let's not trash the site and someone's lively-hood over suspicion. Of course, you should always check a site out before sending money, just makes common sense.

someone was peddling "lens cleaners" for disc players, which is on par with DVD
rewinders.:1:

I think the biggest scam right now is your attempt at convincing us you have a brain.

Yup errol, this site was already flagged a while ago as being a scam-o-rama on the McIntosh forum.
