I'm was bummed when I saw a nearby appearance is at the Mann in Philly on a Monday night. I just can't get anyone interested in driving 90 minutes each way (assuming light traffic) on a Monday night. However, the show in MD is about the same distance, and it's on a Friday night, so I may be going to that one if I can get tickets. I've seen Spoon twice but wouldn't hesitate to see them again, even as an opener. They aren't with them for all the dates below, only Philly, NYC, Columbia MD, Chicago (Lollapalooza), and Atlanta:

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this. Can there be anything more dramatic than Arcade Fire on the main stage closing out a monster 3-day festival beneath the towering skyline of Chicago? And just 5 days after their new record drops? Freakin' goosebumps, man.

Official schedule doesn't come out until tomorrow, but reliable sources indicate that Spoon will be on the previous day, probably setting the table for Phoenix.
