So I posted awhile back that my friend gave me some Kimber Kables and I wanted to compare them to my budget Audioquests.
So it took some time because of rearranging units, due to short length of the Kimbers.
Verdict: Not much difference. If anything, I would say that they are slightly wider in the soundstage and confident in signal. I hate to use colorful terms, but there it is. The sliiiigggghhhhtt difference might have something to do with the type of copper and the amount of it, yet gauge is generally considered a non factor (except after 10ft of length).
So that is my experience.
Equipment used: Pioneer SX-650 and 919AH-K
Luxman PD 272
Sony SACD DVP-NS755 & PS3
If you have really expensive gear get Kimbers for the copper, if not, get budget Audioquest for cost vs. value aspect.
