No amount of money is too much to hear "Another Brick In the Wall" for the gazillionth time.

What do you get in return for your $265 ?

I miss a lot of great shows but I refuse to pay that kind of money for a few hours of fun. I will just have to buy the live Blu-Ray in HD audio for $20. Then I can watch it whenever. :cornut:

What do you get in return for your $265 ?

One ticket to see Waters perform The Wall, which IMO is the worst PF album anyway.

The VIP package (I don't know what it includes) is $762. Or you could settle for the Premium Package for only $507 dollars. That's each person BTW, not a pair.

I think I'll use the money to make a car payment and watch the movie instead.

Or you could go the cheap route & just get/take some of these while listening to the CD.

Nope. I actually like that better than most of The Wall. The Wall would have made a great album if it were half the length.

this amount is extreme, and hypocritical given Waters' anti-capitalist stance

I doubt I'll buy the DVD either

The real best part of The Wall is the backing guitar work all over it by Lee Ritenour!

That's insane................we are still trying to pull out of a global recession.
I don't wish anyone a bad tour but, they deserve to realize slow sales at those prices.

I want to see him flying back to jolly old England with his tail between his legs. He's a first class jerk to begin with, and asking for that kind of money to see his washed-up as<a>s playing tunes that grew stale 15 years ago seals the deal. He's lower than pond scum.

He was on the Jimmy Fallon show last night and was kind of an A$$!

By the way, there are tickets for the show at the Nassau Colliseum in Long Island NY for $75-$150 for his show!

I find it funny that all of these so called "anti-Capitalist" front men are making a $$$killing$$$ with their products. That sounds like Capitalism at its finest. I'm more of a David Gilmour fan anyways.

Stay off the drugs!

Rush is more like that stuff you scrape from the bottom of a barrel.

At least with Rush you are seeing a trio of fine musicians, despite the tired catalogue. To be in Geddy's presence is worth money IMO.

Waters' moody and "intellectual" music is tiring and boring, as I'm sure his stage show must be. All lights and nonsense that has nothing to do with music, to cover for his pylon-ish-ness.

I guess this makes the Eagles ticket seem like a deal when one considers there are 4 or 5 stars to be seen.

All quite comical.

Just think FA, if you had put 4 cents in a jar everytime you'd posted in this place, you'd have enough to buy a ticket plus a bucket of popcorn!

I rather like the pomposityof that album...it's a precursor for his solo stuff...clearly that album was the result of a power struggle.....I've checked out the solo stuff and the "re`unified" band stuff...great manuscript for the forthcoming...

I will agree with you on this fact, all three member are very talented, I'm a bit of a Peart fan as a drummer myself. But, If Geddy would just stop singing, they might have been one of the greatest bands of all time. :biggrin5:

Geddy may not be the best singer of all time, but they seem to have done alright for themselves in spite of that.

yeah, after 4 decades of success and a worldwide fanbase, Rush really should consider replacing their lead singer
(sarcasm)that sounds like a superb idea(/sarcasm)

And $95 for the Chicksie Dicks? No way in heck.

I suppose those nostalgic for the Beatles, and who can blame them, would shell out that much to see Richard, but nearly $100 for those ersatz country hicks? Please.

Now the Dixie Chicks, no way in hell would I see their show. You couldn’t pay me $95 to watch them. :mad2:

Agreed. That sounds like cruel and unusual punishment. I once went to Lillith fair with a group of friends many years ago. The Dixie Chicks were the act we chose to go stand in line for the bathroom during.

And believe me, I've never seen a longer line for the ladies room than at Lillith fair (Eventually the men's room just became coed. None of the men seemed to mind and most of the ladies had no interest, if you catch my drift. :ihih: )

Wow, braving Lilith fair, I couldn't do it. I have seen a lot of crazy stuff happen at Ozzfest, but I won’t go near Lilith :nonod:

Well I just bit the bullet and got 2 tickets for the Tacoma,Wa show. I have been a PF/ Waters fan for a long time. I like both the stuff with and w/o RW and I like RW's solo stuff. The pros and cons of hitchhiking just kicks ass, with Clapton and a host of other well knowns playing it is worth a listen.
Looking forward too December for the show!!!
