Hello every body. I am looking for your knowledge.

I'm looking for a tube pre-amp wich fits with mcintosh mc275 and b&w 804s. Mainly to play vinyl.

my budget (you say it this way right?) is...2500

I have think about mcintosh c22 but the new ones are to expensive for me, and I dont want to get an old one because here on the islands is not easy to repair anything

any idea???

Saludos

My personal fave, which I am aspiring to is the Audio Research Co. (ARC) SP9 MK II or MK III. These are a fantastic tube hybrid which have a wonderful stage for vinyl. The gain is adjustable, although this must be done by adjusting capacitance yourself.

Another nice option would be this Shengya CV -15 matched with the right phono stage. The Shengya is approx. $900.

Welcome to AR elcharly. Since I own one I have to go with PC's recommendation of an ARC SP-9. They are only available used and the current price is around $800 USD. The ones with remote or black face are relatively rare and usually slightly more expensive. I've been quite happy with mine for the last 15 years or so. I would trade up to an SP-10 if I could.

Pops, that Shengya is a copy of the Vincent Audio SA-T1 which is also made in china. The Vincent sells for $1800.

Compare the spec's, exactly the same for $800.

This one might be worth a look-

Nice work raven. That Shengya would be my next pick after the ARC, lovely unit. I'm sure Rich would know more about it, he's probably lived with one.
