Hey, I'm replacing a satellite speaker that is connected to an old amp I have and my question is, the amp requires speakers with an 8 ohm impedance level, however the speaker I am attempting to connect says this on the back: Impedance: 4-8 Ohms. Does that mean that it has a range of 4-8 Ohms or something?? I've never seen anything specified like that.

Thanks a lot!

I would suspect they mean it could be driven by either one...an amp for 8 Ohm and an amp for 4 Ohm. Of course, the impedance of a speaker will not be constantly 8 Ohm, even if it is specified as only 8 Ohm.
