And in this corner wearing the black faceplate is the Cardas Kid......(some light applause)
And over in the far corner sporting a silver faceplate issssssssss ZIP CORD (crowd is on their feet cheering)
Tonight's match is a No Holds Barred, No Disqualification, Cowbell, Texas Strap, Tables Ladders & Chairs contest where the winner has to show us his cables or leave AR for good.
The Cardas Kid starts out by cabling his opponent with a multi-stage, pure fusion connector to the groin.
After recovering from the low blow, Zip Cord sneaks in a predictable 16Guage to the eyes causing the Cards Kid to squeal as his eyes watered black & red tears.
Ducking the next punch, Cardas Kid comes out of nowhere with the dreaded 5.5 awg, Teflon/air dielectric "Golden section" constant "Q", enameled "multi-gauge" "crossfield" "litz" Cardas Crossface.
Zip Cord has little chance over all the technical terms put on him by the Kid and before ever using any of the weapons or the cage itself, Zip Cord taps out writhing in defeat.
Just goes to show you that Double Hex Crossfield Bru Ha Ha will always beat 30 Feet of 16 Gauge Red & Black Wire Zip Cord.

Hyfi, I didn't know you were a zip cord guy. Have you ever tried anything else?

It's all the same, you know that.

Well I would have hoped that some one with your gear and Dyn speakers could have heard better. If not, enjoy the zip.

Have you tried cryo dipping your Zip Cord in liquid nitrogen at 77 Kelvin?
It realy brings out the low end and smooths out the highs.
PS: Liquid Helium works better, but it's just too expensive.
Hyfi, your senario will only have validity if both your opponents and the audience are blindfolded

14 gauge Philips zip works fine for the vintage and HT systems. With the main music system, however, it doesn't cut the mustard. :)

I guess I should say fuk because I can. Apparently I'm a little slow. What's prompted the bout scheduled for one fall? Truly, the sarcasm is leaving me confused. Hy-Fi, did some high priced cable touch you innapropriately? Show us where on this doll...

I will never reveal the brand of black & reds I am using so stop asking me.
As far as the zip cord goes for speaker wire, I trash pick old lamps and just cut off the cord and plug and reuse with my gear. There can't possibly be any difference so I just disposed of my Synergistic cables after realizing I had been had. Even though I paid basically nothing for them, they did not outperform my lamp cords.
Truly, the sarcasm is leaving me confused.
Sarcasm? What Sarcasm?

I think ResidentLoser would take exception to your second assertion there E-stat.

I tried that once but as I picked up all the shattered little pieces, I realized it wasn't what it was all cracked up to be.

Um..., er..., you think I'm joking, don't you? Well, so did I. But apparently I'm not! :yikes:
cryoparts wire & stuff (http://www.cryo-parts.com/whycryo.html). :skep:
I just may get me some of this.
Analysis Plus Oval Theater 4 Wire (http://www.cryo-parts.com/speakercable.html)
But I'm definitely getting some of these.
CryoParts Finished Power Cables (http://www.cryo-parts.com/cryoparts_power_cables.html)
I can't wait for my "positive difference to the sound". :9:
"When Copper, Silver, or Brass, or any metal used in audio, is formed into cables or AC plugs, the materials develop residual stress. For example, microscopic examination of the Copper in an AC cord would reveal many voids in the crystal lattice structure of the Copper due to these residual stresses. Deep cryogenic treatment works at the atomic level; research indicates that as the temperature decreases the atomic bonds start to weaken and the crystal structure of Copper reverts to its original state and removes these stresses. These changes, theoretically, are one of the reasons why cryogenic treatment makes a positive difference to the sound."
what's the best way for removing green marker from one's fingers, and when will they finally make a green marker that won't rub off the edge of the CD?

I think you first have to get one of those little CD edge trimming machines that cut off the out of roundness of a disc in relation to the center hole. That way you expose some of the porous plastic that will suck the green marker in.
Also the grease from your fingers would stop proper distribution of the green pen.
Ugh, shadoobie, Splatter Splatter!

I hear that if you get some of these Deep cryogenically treated CDR's (http://www.cryo-parts.com/cdrs.html), they suck up all the green marker you throw at them- even the edge!
"Deep cryogenically treated CDR's. These are the "Audio" CDR's that can be burned in a home, or consumer, CD burner that requires the "audio" CDR's. The deep cryogenic process makes an amazing difference in CDR's, who'd 'a thunk it? Try it, you'll like it! Each one comes in a paper sleeve."
PS: "No longer available."

Maybe if we cryogenically treat a cheap receiver it will sound like a no holds barred mega dollar system!!!
Do I degauss my CDs before or after I freeze them?

I enjoy my Sound Improvement Disc which happens to be green and improves the sound of cd playback. Oh and I have two discs one that has been trimmed and one that is not. I enjoy a good trimming.

No silly! Never degauss a deep cryogenically treated CDR.
Instead, you must deFaraday them. This aligns the crystaline metal structure in the reflective layer with the dipole moments inherent in the almost-pure polycarbonate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycarbonate) plastic. Thus sub-bit phase coherence is possible among multiple registration cells. This aligns the electric field (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_field) orthogonally to the auxiliary magnetic field (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_field#The_H-field), thus maximizing the Poynting vector and ensuring near sub-bit perfect transfer to the optical read head. Hence dynamic range is increased by 20 dB and bit rate increases by a factor of four, providing near SACD sound quality from Redbook CD.
Well worth the $100 per deep cryogenically treated-deFaraday CDR, IMHO.

Mondello Performace Products in California tries to sell deep cryogentically frozen engine parts for extra money.....trying to convince those racing with stock Oldsmobile forged rods they can make 2 HP per cubic inch safely at 4 times the stress (twice the RPM) they were designed for. Always a sucker for new (space aged?) technology...haha.
Faraday's Law = the relation between a moving magnetic pole assembly and induced voltage in a coil.
MAGNETICS? (the H field not the E field.....seek Maxwell)
$100 for a cryogentic frozen CD......waaaaay more the Mondello gets for a frozen rod.
