Hi, i have a Phillips PA 540B Integrated amp hooked up to Athena AS-B1 speakers. I have seen the review for this amp and the review gave it a 5 out of 5. My questions are:

Is this a good amp?
If i want to get some headphones (grado 325i) do i need a headphone amp?
Does anyone know the year for this amp?

Thanks.:biggrin5:

Not sure. You own it. What do YOU think? If you aren't sure, have a listen.

Does the Phillips have a headphone output? If not, does your source have a headphone output? If both don't then yes, you may have to if you want to use cans.

I do not sir.

To be honest, it looks to me like nothing special and another thing is the brand Phillips doesn't sound right especially running Athena AS-B1 on it. I mean as long as it sounds right for you, you can use it but you can do a lot better! So far I don't know Phillips to have made a good amplifier!

That is my opinion! Wait to see the others and make the decision!
