Heres my situation,
Im looking at buying these speakers (http://www.digitaltrends.com/product-reviews/computer-hardware-peripheral-reviews/pc-speaker-systems-reviews/logitech-z-640-review/) for use with my laptop at home (because they're cheap, and not too bad quality).
Basically, my laptop has only a 3.5mm output, and this means that some speakers would not be used on the system (due to the 5.1-ness), right?
But they (the speakers) have a matrix option, which makes it so that you can use a basic 2 channel output and it would play through all the speakers, right? (correct me if im wrong, lol).
So is this to say, if i bought a stereo RCA audio cable to connect to the speakers, i could play music through my laptop/ipod with only 2 channel sound, and all the speakers would be functioning?
Haha, this is a very messed up post. Not very well thought out. :out:
Cheers
