Yamaha RX-V457 Speakers?

I have been given, yes given, a Yamaha RX-V457 amp. Now it's my first amp and as such I haven't got a clue where to go next. Obviously speakers and cables are a must, so what do you recommend speaker wise??

What is your budget? What size room is this going in, and are you placing these on the floor, stands, or bookshelves/furniture?

I have Yamaha RX-V457 and it is a very good receiver.

Any speakers I put on the receiver, they sound good so you can get almost anything as long as it is good.

I use mine with Kenwood tower speakers JL-885

Well space is at a premium right now so the front 3 will go on the TV stand, so small would be good but not compromising sound. I haven't decided on my budget yet.
