Several years ago I acquired a BSR MCD8050, 6 disc CD changer/ cassette deck, for free. It is a great machine for set-n-forget listening. It’s even better for making cassette tapes from CDs (I still have cassette in my 4Runner). It is my first and only CD player, although I may consider getting a second CD player/ changer. I really want to keep this in my stable, even if I get a new one.
Now its getting noisy, skips tracks, and unloads CDs and quits before the end of the set. I’ve tired using a CD lens cleaner (Radio Shack Model: 42-227 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062690)), but with limited success. It’s time to go in and clean it up.
Any suggestions before I dive in?
PS: It is vintage and solid state only on output- yet digital reading.
