Is a Marantz 1530 in mint condition worth $50?

If I wanted one, I certainly wouldn't have a problem with that price.

Yes, definitely. This is a 30 wpc model from 1978-79. I would estimate a mint 1530 can be sold on eBay for $125-150 plus shipping by a reputable seller. Don't sell under $100.

I would agree with Feanor on this one. They are a prized component for vintage stuff.

no problem. yeah Marrantz were very sought after in the 70's and there was a reason for that. They were good components that were very reliable and very good sounding for the money spent. And for the day they were good looking components as well.

Silver faced Marantz = good

Gold faced Marantz = not as good

dak, I have a 1515. The baby brother of the 1530. For 15 wpc, it rocks...
