Did anyone see Invictus this past weekend? I haven't seen it yet, but it's my kind of movie and I will probably give it a matinee this week sometime. The critics seemed to like it, but I wonder how it will survive the Avatar tidal-wave next weekend. Any thoughts?
Frankly, I hope no one goes to see Avatar.

Fat chance. Or where you hoping to have the theater to yourself?
Yeah, fat chance. But one can certainly hope.
Jim Cameron is an uber-douchebag and I sincerely hope Avatar is a massive flop. I have many reasons why I feel this way, most of them personal, but I won't clutter your Invictus thread with them (but I will be happy to post them in an Avatar thread, should one arise here).

One has arisen. Post away!

Has anyone, anyone actually see Invictus? It's Clint Eastwood, after all.
Troy, if it makes you happy, I'll skip Avatar this weekend and see Invictus instead, but mostly because I'd rather not see a movie surrounded by pre-pubescent teens throwing popcorn and yacking on the phone about who's so cute and what the Jonas Brothers' latest download sounds like. From the looks of it, with Invictus, the wife & I will be the only ones in the theater, lol.
