Some good ones there to be sure - I would add Trainspotting - the baby crawling along the ceiling was one freaky trip.

One of my favorite movies, starring a very familiar looking "indulger"...

.........althought haven't seen Trainspoting or Kids.

Also just remembered the scene in the movie Salvador where James Wood and Jim Belushi are driving down to El Salvador.

I'd have to vote Requiem for a Dream as the most essential drug movie made containing a long list of impressively shot drug scenes.

Smoke - you gotta see Trainspotting for drug scenes - the toilet dive and the aforementioned baby on the ceiling are top examples.

I thought the LSD scenes in Easy Rider were trippy - New Orleans Mardi Gras and the above ground cemetery = great settings for mind altering substances.

Speaking of Hunter S Thompson, the film Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas is fierce in its protraits of grug excess...especially the first 30 minutes of the film, which is just one long trip.
