I was trying to peruse this site last night during the freeze (hasn't been that slow in a long time) when I noticed a new thread from a new member (2 posts, I think). It was an interesting topic. The gist is what movies do you think are actually better than the books on which they are based? I had one on the tip of my brain, but I couldn't remember it. Plus, the site was so sucky slow it was pointless to hang around.
Anyhow, the thread is gone today and naturally I thought of the movie - Deliverance! The book is excellent. The movie is just as good with a little banjo thrown in.
