The good - $180
The bad - no analog 7.1 outs like Vizio promised
Anyone know if another model with the analog outs is on the way?

I saw that Walfart had a 96 dollar MAGNAVOX blu that did have 7.1 outs,
might want to check that out, don't know if every store has one, tho.:1:
Sony's BDP-S760 is supposed to be out in Sept.-Oct. It's supposed to have the 7.1 analog outputs. It's the upgrade and replacement of the 550. I doubt seriously that it will be $200 or less though. Probably closer to $400. :)

doesn't have 7.1 analog outs. So far this feature is only avaiable in high end players. That's why the Vizio pre-launch info got me excited. Turned out to be false.

My Sony s300 has the 7.1's, and is hardly "high end"(400 new).
A player that decodes and outputs LPCM is not a luxery if you have an older receiver,
It is a nessesity:1:

If you can dig a little deeper in your pocket for $259 and want the very best player out there south of the Oppo BDP-83 for $499, then look here:
