Was delighted to find out that my local "dealer" in Yamaha was also selling Integra
devices, since I am contemplating replacing my five year old 7.4 with a 7.9(or 6.9)
They also had some Monitor audio speakers.
While looking around I saw the SHARP LED powered LCD SET.
3400 BUCKS.
The thing is 1.5 inches thick, which is a lot narrower than it sounds.
They also had an Hitachi LED for 2400 bucks.
But even more important was the PICTURE.
3D almost, with pure blacks and incredible color.
They were showing Dark Knight, and it was about teh best picture I have ever
seen.
If they cant get the price of OLED down, or increase the fruitfly lifespan, this is the future.
Meanwhile over at Walmart, they are "upgrading".
My 900 dollar 42 1080p is selling for under 700 bucks.
A 54 in is around 1700.
Some on this board were saying plasma is cheaper, I find it somewhat hard to beleive
that a 42" 1080p plasma is cheaper than 700 bucks.
Couldn't tell at Wally world tho, they didn't have any.:1:
