I'd like to know if I can use a power cable from a Monster amp MPA5150 to power a Lexicon LX7 amp. Why would I want to do that? Because I bought the LX7 and the seller did not send me the power cable. I just wanted to use it while waiting for the LX7 power cable to arrive. Will this damage or affect the sound quality from the LX7? TIA

Why do they even make an amp that's so heavy like the MPA5150 with only 150x5?

UL has a standard for that. Ground bottom and hot is 9 common is at 3 and ground at six. (presume unit is 110-130vac). For 150 watts in you don't need much, but I suspect to get 150w out they want 1,000 in so #14 wire size should be more than adequate.
Cheers

The LX7 is 7x200. Is it still ok to use the monster amp power cable?

The power cable should work.
I used one from an air conditioner once.
AS for why teh amp is "heavy" that is the way a true amp is supposed to be, what with
the huge transformer and heat sinks.
Ask instead as to why a seven channel 125w receiver is so light.:1:
