Can anyone recommend which one.
Trying to save space on new TV stand and not enough room for all componets

if there is no rush and you can wait till mid summer JVC will have a nice one that passes both signals on the component video connection, if you need it now, any name brand with a progressive dvd player and a "easy to use remote control" that will operate your tv as well

Combination products are NOT a good idea in my vast experience of servicing electronics products. Hear me now and believe me later ... keep all devices separate. If they can't both fit on the TV stand you have, put the DVD player there and put the VCR somewhere else in the room, and run cables to where you need to. You'll be FAR better off in the long run.

Therre's nothing more fruatrating than having a two in one unit where one stops working. ...and it will.
Now, do you scrap a perfectly good DVD player (or vcr, whichever still works) and buy a brand new two in one, or do you simply go and buy a stand alone unit to replace whichever part died. ...result - two boxes anyway.
