Has anyone found a solution for the thin line that appears at the top of the screen directly above an analog TV cablecast (the show actually takes up only a small part of the screen, so it's not on the actual TV station, it just shows up in a thin line across the top of the screen. Comcast does not have a clue, and it cannot be the TV, since it goes away when other shows are on that fill the full screen.
Is there a special setting? Is is a defective TV, such as the image not being aligned correctly? (It could be that it is too low and the line of static noice is the result.)

I'm too lazy to do the google right now. I seem to remember though, that is the CC info that is being broadcast.

Perhaps you can align your TV to go up a 1/16" and clear it off?

This is very common. Your TV's video setup should have some sort of overscan option that allows you to rescale the picture so that the border region gets left out of the image area. This does chop a portion of the picture out, and slightly reduce the picture quality, but it eliminates any video noise you might see at the edge.
