It's hard to believe that it's been almost 10 years since the last Pavement record was released. I was a big fan of "Terror Twilight', although many other fans didn't like this departure from their 'lo-fi' roots. They were still indie until the bitter end, although they had a fairly large cult following as far as indie bands go.
Anyway, I spun the enhanced reissue of their indie classic debut, Slanted and Enchanted, and realized how much I missed having them around. Their post-Pavement projects just aren't the same, although I know a few of you are still into Malkmus' newer stuff. I've really tried to like it, but for the most part, I just can't get into it. Maybe I hold some sort of grudge because his ego was probably the main reason for the demise of the band. I guess all good things must come to an end, but it's still a shame.
