Saw the newest 007 flick this weekend.

I will admit it is not as good as Casino Royale but IMO it is still a very good addition to the series. Plenty of action and while there was not any ground breaking chase scene or amazing gadget I just think Daniel Craig brings so much to the role. He is a Bond that gets the girls and kicks butt!!

I saw it last night and while clearly not as good as the last, it was still a decent action movie. Not a great "Bond Movie" but it was decent. Lots of action but nothing to over the top. Great Bond Girl (she looked much better in "The Hitman") that could kick some arse of her own.

Can't really think of much else to say about it which probably says more about the film than anything else I could say.

OK, maybe this............... With the last two Bond movies, the series has taken on a bit of a darker more "realistic" tone similiar to last two Batmans. Bond is getting beat up a bit and the cheesy factor has been done away with. IF they are going to continue in this direction (which I think they should) they need to put a little more work into the plots. This latest movie continued the plot from the past movie but it just seemed a little weak on substance. The main goal of the villian was and still is not that clear to me. I got it but could they not have come up with something a bit more "sexy"?

I saw the movie last night... and while it was not as good as Casino Royale, it was still a good film...

I suspect that we're meant to watch Both Casino and Quantum as a 2 part movie, showing how Bond became Bond... I expect the 3rd movie to be the best in this new series, as they now have an established 007 and can have some fun with the character...

Thanks for he reviews folks. I'll try and see it this weekend. On another note... I was thinking (a dangerous thing, that a man ought not to do) wouldn't it be a pisser if Craig met some of his predacessors in a later film. I think they're all stil alive? It would be a hoot to have Connery ***** slap him and tell him how a "proper double 00" should behave. Or better yet, have Craig put foot to Roger Moore AND Pierce Brosnan. Timothy Dalton in his prime woulda been a good fight though.

It sure was stylish and entertaining, but brother, you better leave the brain at the door because the story makes little sense and many of the action scenes are beyond unbelievable. The "slightly" flammable hotel at the end was utterly ridiculous. As stupid and contrived as anything in the Roger Moore movies.

Yeah, I know. It's a movie and not real life, and that would be fine if I didn't keep hearing from people how "gritty and realistic" these Danny Craig Bond flicks are.

The motivation of the bad guy and the organization he works for was very poorly defined. Bond movies are always as good as it's villains, and this villain was cartoonish and pathetic lacking any real sense of menace.

Stuff blows up real nice and I love the whole Bond-style thing, so enjoy it for those things, but as a movie-movie, it was sorely lacking.
